Description

Fabio files are files that can be opened by fabio python script available in your application. Fabio is an I/O library for diffraction images written in python. It combines the functionalities which evolved in Fabian and ImageD11.

Fabio files

This preferences allows you to set the files type you want to load in image chooser.
By default all files extension fabio may read are listed in the table.

Use :

File name filter.
You can choose to display files containing a stem: type this string in the field then apply your new preference.
File extension preference.
- Add a new extension fabio.py program is enabled to read : in the field, type the extension, then "Add" , the apply your new prefenrences. If you open a folder, files with the new extension added will be loaded in the table.
- Remove extension : select one or several extension in the list, then click on remove and apply your new preference.

Image to process view

This view allows you to select directories for preprocessor.
As we can see in view described bellow, fabio python program allows to retrieve image information in header content and to display header key and values in header key list and in columns. <

Group "Image browser"

This group allows user to add directories in group files with browse button.
Once a directory is selected, all files with extension set in preferences (by default all files accepted by fabio), are loaded int he table.

Group "Files"

This group contains directories on which image processing is going to be applied. This group is divided into 2 parts:

Header keys: this list is loaded with header keys of the selected file in the table.
Files in directory : this table is split into 2 pane, directories on the left and files with fabio preferences extension on the right

Header keys

This list is loaded with keys found in the header for the file selected in the table.
You can select a key in the list and add it to the table to display the values of the key for each files loaded in the table.
If the value NA is not available ("NA"), this file doesn't have this key defined in its header.

To add a key :

Select a key in the list,
Click on add or double click on the key.

To remove a key from the table (except for the two firsts "#" and "name"):

Select a column,
Click on "subtract button"

Table

Directory pane: left side: This pane list all directories loaded on which you want to process files.
If you right click on a directory, a menu appears : this is a short cut to remove selected directory from the list
Files pane: right side : this table lists all files of the current directory.
If you rigth click on a file, you'll see a menu:
- The first one allows you to remove the selected file from the list of the files to process.(same functionality as the button "Remove files"
- The second menu is a popup menu for imageviewer to open the file or the corrected file if preprocessor has been launched.

Remove buttons

These buttons are available under the table.
These buttons allow you to remove a sample from the list of the selected samples for the left button, or to remove one or more selected files in the file list for right button remove. No directory or files are removed from your disk.

The same functionalities are available by selecting en item in table and rigth clicking : a menu appears with 'remove item'.

Update directory button

This button is usefull when you want to update your directory with the new processed files.
For example, refresh files list if you have compressed files, and if you want to display corrected files. This can be quite usefull to display and compare images in an Image viewer. (right click and choose imageviewer menu.)
