Polyxsim simulates diffraction images from polycrystals. This getting started guide will explain how to quickly get a workbench which looks like this :

Step 1

Click on the icon to create a new polyxsim file :

You will be prompted for a name of the new input file. A default PolyXSim input file will be created.

Step 2

Modify the input parameters as you feel necessary on the user interface

Click on the icon to run polyxsim :

Step 3

Once the simulation has finished the image view will automatically be opened in the directory where the simulated diffraction images have been generated (assuming you have selected « Generate images » in the user interface) :
