By default the file filter is set to *.cpp. If you would like to set it
to *.java before startup, just export an environment variable
POGO_LANG to java.The main window is composed in 3 parts:
- The Menus: to performe an action.
- The Tree area: to display the device server class framwork and to select an item.
- The output files language selection area.
Remark:
with a right button double click on a command, an editor will be forked with cursor on the method where this method is really executed to add your own code.

To define a class, the following window could be displayed by clincking on :
- File menu - New item to create a new class.
- Palette menu - Edit Class item to modify existing class.
To define a tango device class, 3 fields must be filled:
- Project title: This title will be used for source file header and as documentation title.
- Class name: main class name.
- Class description: This description will be used for source file comments and as documentation introduction. The generated documentation is in HTML format and it is possible to have HTML tags in this field.

To define a device server command, the following window could be displayed by :
- Clicking on Palette menu - Create Command item to create a new one.
- Double clicking on a Command item in the Class tree.
To define a tango command, 6 fields must be filled:
- Command name: The command name.
- Argin type: Input argument type for this command. This type is selected from a list of Tango types in a combo box.
- Argin description: Optional field describing the command input argument.
- Argout type: Output argument type for this command. This type is selected from a list Tango types in a combo box.
- Argout description: Optional field describing the command output argument.
- Command description: This description will be used in
source file comments and in the generated documentation.
The generated documentation is in HTML format and it is possible to have HTML tags in this field.
To define a device server state, the following window could be displayed by :
- Clicking on Palette menu - Create State item to create a new one.
- Double clicking on a State item into the Class tree.
To define a tango state, 2 fields must be filled:
- States name: Tango state selected from a list into a combo box.
- State description: This description will be used in source file comments and in the generated documentation. The generated documentation is in HTML format and it is possible to have HTML tags in this field.
To define a device server attribute, the following window could be displayed by :
- Clicking on Palette menu - Create Attribute item to create a new one.
- Double clicking on an Attibute item into the Class tree.
To define a tango attribute, 3 fields must be filled:
- Attribute name.
- Attribute type: Attribute type. This type is selected from a list of Tango types in a combo box.
- Writable: Select this toggle button if this attribute is writable. It is read only by default.
Remarks: The palette menu options are also available with a right button double click on item concerned.
